Yahoo News UK has the story:

A major police operation is under way in France as prosecutors confirmed the second terror attack in the capital in as many days.

Several armed officers were at the scene of a fatal shooting this morning in the south of Paris.

A female police officer, reportedly 25, was killed after she was called to reports of a traffic accident involving a grey Clio at around 7.15am.

A street sweeper was critically injured in the shooting, which is now being treated as a “terrorist act” by the French authorities.

Sky’s Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt said police with heavy armour were seen in Porte de Chatillon shortly afterwards and TV news crews were being pushed back from the area, which was sealed off with tape.

Meanwhile, officers are still hunting for suspects in the deadly gun attack on the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Two men matching their description are said to have robbed a petrol station about an hour’s drive northeast of Paris.

Footage of police activity in the village of Crepy-en-Valois, 10 miles (16km) from that scene, is now emerging.

With the country now on its highest terror alert, hundreds of extra officers have been deployed to guard media offices, places of worship and other areas deemed at risk in the capital.

Some 200 soldiers from parachute regiments across the country have been drafted in to Paris, bringing the number of military patrolling the streets to 850.

In today’s attack, which is not being linked by officials to yesterday’s shootings, a man wearing a bullet-proof vest fired at the council worker and police woman, who became the third officer to be killed in the capital in 24 hours.

Witness Ahmed Sassi said: “There was an officer in front of a white car and a man running away who shot.”

TV channel iTele said both victims of the shooting were seen lying on the ground.

Le Parisien newspaper reported that one of the shooters ran towards the Metro station Chatillon-Montrouge. The other is reported to have fled by car and is still on the run.

AFP news agency reported that a 53-year-old suspect has been detained.

Brunt said: “It’s difficult to believe there’s no link (to the Charlie Hebdo shootings).

I watched the various news shows. The Million Dollar Talkers, like Krauthammer… went on and on yet NO ONE dared mention The Elephant in the Room. What is this pachyderm? Why in the first place are there Muslims in France in the first place? And for that matter Europe itself? And I might add, my “own” home country of the US. I put OWN in quotation marks because I feel completely separated from any input into who is allowed into The HOME.

The very people who invaded Europe with their military, and were stopped in most of Europe, stopped in France by Charles Martel, The Hammer, are free to roam about, settle and then demand that you abide by their freak show beliefs, their freak show religious dootles… If this is not SUICIDE, I would like to know what it is?

The mental midgets of the newZ media are helping this suicide and are getting PAID for their efforts!

I am sorry for, sad for France but if you let mental nut jobs, throwbacks, enemies into your HOME, do not be surprised that they will eventually steal the silverware, break the nice furniture, destroy the bath, set your library on fire —Alexandria— kill your dog, rape your wife, your daughters, your sons and eventually behead YOU!

The West has been going towards Full Retard since the end of the self suicidal World War 2, and the West seems more clueless, feckless, moronic with each and every day. Perhaps it is too late to WAKE UP? This will just get worse, I promise.

One of the policemen was a Muslim. That has been getting scant mention.

This article in the WSJ is quite clear about ‘the elephant in the room’.

France chose to pander to Islam many years ago.

One can mourn for the dead but karma is a bitch.

@lwesson:

Muslims were allowed into Europe in the 1970’s because the OPEC countries insisted they do this or they would not get oil. The other condition, actually the main one, was – don’t support Israel.
That is stated clearly in Oriana Fallaci’s book “The Force of Reason”.

OPEC said they would just be ‘guest workers’ but of course they never went back.

I could not read the WSJ story without joining… The Wall Street Journal has openly embraced Open Borders which says much. They also had an editorial, “Why we hate, It’s a Wonderful Life”. Mister Potter approved of that.

Cultural Marxists, seeing that The West would not dissolve after 2 suicidal World Wars were steadfast in taking many other actions. One was to infiltrate the schools. I saw this first hand while teaching. Second was to repopulate with the most ALIEN of peoples Europe, Canada, and the US embracing Multiculturalism as a good thing. Well that has been pretty well done, branding ANY opposition to this from the Marxist Designer Word, “Racist”.

France leftist leaders, allowed into France, Colonials… Germany had “guest workers” and on and on and on. Friends that lived in London, England have moved OUT of this DIE-versity City. France, Germany, Sweden now have, NO GO Zones. I recall over 20 years ago, my Sister and her friends being firmly escorted out of an area in London by thoughtful police, being told that under NO circumstance were they to venture into such an area. So I guess, England has this too.

Our very own, Teddy Kennedy & Pres. LBJ did a makeover on our immigration laws, favoring the Third World. The 1965 Immigration Act. I was a child back then, but I do recall my America at the time. In just 50 years, the population demographics have changed drastically. My World War 2 Father was finally upset with what he saw. His children have to live with it…

The Democrat Party has swung fully to the Left so much so that The American Communist Party no long runs a Presidential Candidate. They just endorse who the Democrats pick. The Republican Party? Essentially most are bought off by the Cheap Labor Cabal. There is much talk, smoke & mirrors, but no FIRE.

Houston, Space City USA, went from no Mosques to over 50. Michigan, there are cities I have read about that are majority Muslim.

If OPEC had a hand in all of this, fine, but there are fists punching out there from other sources. We will pay dearly for all of this and YES, Karma will be a Biatch all right. 😐

@Iwesson

You are quite right! It has been a combination of all those factors – Cultural Marxism, The Frankfurt School, the dumbing-down of the population, ,,all those things. Now add in Agenda 21.All this another article in itself.

I was also teaching and saw it first-hand. Kids were no longer taught phonics, times tables and such. They can’t do math, they can’t spell and they certainly can’t think! These kids are now in the over-30 age group. And they vote!

This is but a small example I have noticed here: many younger people cannot even hold a pen correctly. I see this everywhere! Watch how Obama holds his pen. It makes no difference that he is left handed.

On a somewhat lighter note I watch “Jeopardy”. It fascinate me how they get all the questions on TV, movies and sports right but are sorely lacking in history, world events and geography.

I am not in the US but frequently do better than some US citizens on topics pertaining to the US – except for sport!

That tells me a lot!

Nothing good will come out of this. Brendan O’Neill, editor of Spiked Online, calls it “The Endarkenment”. He’s right!
We are devolving down to the lowest common denominator.
