Thanks for sharing this. My mother’s Uncle was a close friend and fishing buddy of Johnson and when this Great Uncle came to family events, we kids were told to NOT repeat ANYTHING PERIOD, that they had said about Johnson. There were no kind words about Johnson in the family. I recall all of this, and it was after the murder of Kennedy.

After watching this, and recently reading more about Johnson, I can understand their hatred of Lyndon Johnson, which as a kid, it was lost to me. Mom sobbed uncontrollably upon hearing on the radio about Kennedy’s assassination, and Dad when he came home was truly distraught. All of this upset me, but later the things said about Johnson were full of a white hot angry hate. Again, I was quite out of the loop. What did they know?

Buried in a box are two marble bookends that said Great Uncle gave to me, saying that Johnson had given him the marble to do as he liked in cutting… For some reason I never really cherished the gift, and seldom used them. Maybe in the back of my mind, I had connected the dots on this vile nasty murderer. His trip down to HELL must have been quite a ride.
