MALAYSIAN police believe an al-Qaida linked terror group from the Philippines is behind the killing of a Taiwanese tourist and the kidnapping of his wife.

Unidentified gunmen shot dead Li-Min Hsu, 57, and kidnapped his wife An-Wei Chang, 56, early on Friday on Pom Pom Island, a popular scuba diving location in the eastern state of Sabah on Borneo island.

The incident – in a remote part that was rocked earlier this year by a bloody Philippine militant incursion – has underlined continued threats in the region despite a Malaysian security clampdown.

Khalid added the attackers were believed to have come in a group of eight in a speedboat.

Authorities are still trying to find the kidnapped woman with help from their Philippines counterparts, he said.

Despite these types of occurrences taking place around the world, there will always be incompetent idiots who continually claim that Islam is a religion of peace, when in fact it’s the very barbaric ideology that is more dangerous that Adolf Hitler was. Any politician in industrialized – civilized countries who import Muslims should be charged with treason. There are some good Muslim people in this world, but we should not gamble.
