‘Sodomy: We All Have To Pay!’ Ann Coulter Debate On ‘Nannying’ Devolves

I can’t stand any of the people shown in this clip: Geraldo Rivera, Ann Coulter, Michael Bloomberg, and MeMe Roth. (MeMe? That odd spelling is somewhat telling…)

To give the devil her due, Ann Coulter makes good points about liberal hypocrisy and the financial costs of debauchery.

CDC: 62% of Men Who Know They’re HIV Positive Have Unprotected Sex With Men

(CNSNews.com) – Sixty-two percent of American men who know they are HIV positive continue to have unprotected anal sex, according to data released last week by the federal Centers for Disease Control.

This data, which was published Friday, came from the federal government’s National HIV Behavioral Surveillance System.

The percentage of self-aware HIV-positive men who engage in unprotected anal sex has been increasing, according to the CDC. In 2005, 55 percent did so. In 2008, 57 percent did so. And, in 2011, 62 percent did so.

“Unprotected anal sex is a high-risk practice for HIV infection, with receptive anal sex having the highest risk,” said the CDC report. “Unprotected anal sex also places MSM at risk for other sexually transmitted infections such as syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. Although condoms can reduce the risk for HIV transmission, they do not eliminate risk and often are not used consistently. Some MSM attempt to decrease their HIV risk by engaging in unprotected sex only with partners perceived to have the same HIV status as their own. However, this practice is risky, especially for HIV-negative MSM, because MSM with HIV might not know or disclose that they are infected and men’s assumptions about the HIV status of their partners can be wrong.”

This might be perhaps the greatest segment of Geraldo at Large ever known to man. During what was supposed to be a debate about NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s various “public health” laws — indoor smoking bans, hidden cigarette displays by mandate, bans on large sugary beverages, etc. — Ann Coulter attempted to flip the “liberal nannying” logic upside-down by bringing up illegitimacy, sodomy, AIDS, and gay bathhouses.

Suffice it to say the segment went off the rails. And did so quickly.

Anti-obesity advocate (and big Bloomberg fan) MeMe Roth started off praising the mayor’s various efforts by noting that he is a “student of behavioral psychology” who understands that “increasing the inconvenience just a little bit” will lead to better choices by the consumer.

Coulter was not having any of it. She tore into Bloomberg by suggesting we just be done with it already and “have a death penalty for smokers,” before changing the subject to the negative behaviors that liberals are unwilling to stigmatize, such as illegitimate birth.

Geraldo Rivera’s efforts to corral the segment away from unwed teen pregnancy were for naught. When Roth made the claim that bans on various unhealthy activities are warranted because “we pick up the tab” for other’s bad habits, Coulter countered that “I think you’re going to have to do something about the gay bathhouses.”

“AIDS is very expensive, and if I’m paying for it, how about discouraging that behavior?” she explained.

Later, while clarifying that she doesn’t actually want to ban homosexual activity, she told Roth, “If you’re argument is ‘Smoking: we all have to pay,’ then why not ‘Sodomy: we all have to pay.'” She told Roth that a consistent position on “nannying” would require her to be “anti-bathhouses” in addition to anti-smoking.

“Can we get off sodomy for a moment?” Rivera asked at one point, seemingly realizing this segment will be fodder for websites like Mediaite.

“The behaviors that liberals approve of, they will not stigmatize,” Coulter once again explained. “Illegitimacy, they are very upset Bloomberg is stigmatizing. Sodomy… they won’t stigmatize. But smoking… if we’re looking at it for health costs, there are plenty of other things.”

The segment then, somehow, shifted towards a conversation on “stop-and-frisk,” with Coulter suggesting we use drones to execute the controversial police policy.

Police drones are already on the way. CBS NY has the story:

Concern mounts over Bloomberg’s remark that drones are likely coming

Man do those liberals hate Ann Coulter.

I have some problems with Ann Coulter myself – especially with her having promoted Mitt Romney at the expense of better GOP candidates, and her shilling for Chris Christie. But this time around, she’s right.

What I have noted about Coulter which I just take at face value is she will just get so excited about Rand Pauls’ fillibuster and all the galvanizing his stand has made for constitutionalists (an the party as a whole) but then she will pragmatically choose Christie who is clearly a Rhino because she thinks he will win the election for the Republican party. For my taste, I am tired of the Rhino Republicans and how they have danced in tandem with the Democrats toward this cliff we are currently toppling over.

I’m not concerned with Coulter or the political issues, let’s discuss sodomy, homosexuality, lesbianism: they target, and sexually and morally abuse babies, children, kids and other adults. Homosexuality, as a ‘political’ agenda, began in the mid-19th century as a force opposing Christianity, building on the entirely false history of the ancient world supposedly supporting such perversion. The NAZI Party in its original formation had many homosexuals and they were used as street thugs until, having attained power in Germany, the Party no longer needed them; they drifted easily enough into the SS via the homo-erotic idealization in the NAZI philosophy and the Hitler Youth and Maedchen organizations provided them with victims (think how many kids of that period remained silent to their graves about it since it was coupled with their enforced membership under the NAZIS). Pushing sexual perversion was already part of American culture from the 40s onwards in films and TV shows put it across by the 60s. Homosexuals used violent tactics to force the removal of homosexuality from a designation as a mental health issue by American psychiatric bodies in the early 70s and the push began in Europe for lowering of ‘age of consent’ (the aim was for an age of 10 for lawful sexual intercourse of a minor, to remove any legal restrictions on pedophilia). Obama’s appointees have aimed for this especially through the schools. The deliberate enabling of Moslem ‘immigration’ into the West, especially in Europe, was a way of ‘legitimizing’ sexual perversion through ‘religious tolerance’ because Islamic teaching and religious texts support pedophilia, child marriage, rape, genital mutilation, sex slavery etc). Can we stop talking about “gay” this and that, and return to sanity with the emphasis on what this sexual perversion has done to this country’s children, and its moral standards, AND its health problems? And don’t forget what it’s cost already in billions, worldwide, to supposedly ‘fight’ AIDS. Over 1 million French people (adults AND youths) marched in Paris a few days ago to protest against pervert ‘marriage’ and the crowds were tear-gassed by the French police even though they were completely peaceful. Supporting sexual perversion, as governments do, is their way of helping to destroy morals, the Christian basis of Western civilization, and of ensuring lower reproduction rates and people dying off from diseases due to sexually perverted practices.

Oh my God, I know about lifestyle choices from a psychological perspective as well as from a pastoral one, but wasn’t historically informed concerning the part homosexuality played in Nazi Germany. Thanks for that post. I will look further into it. It’s a complex issue for sure. What I do know, and in defense of my gay friends, is that the family unit is vital to keep healthy in this country if we hope to survive.
