9News NBC has the story.

FORT COLLINS – A Fort Collins principal stands by his decision to allow students from a multicultural group to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic on the school’s intercom.

“We do say the Pledge of Allegiance on Mondays at Rocky Mountain High School,” principal Tom Lopez said.

Students have always said it in English. This year, a group with about 30 students approached Lopez with a request to translate and recite the pledge in other languages.

This is wrong on many levels

We at 1389 Blog roundly condemn politically-correct multicultural indoctrination and all its pomps and all its works. We also point out that government schools are not educating our children, but rather, indoctrinating them.

We have no objection to the Arabic language itself. While Arabic is the primary language of Islam, it is also the native language of a considerable number of Christians. Orthodox Christian worship is regularly conducted in the Arabic language. Go ahead and learn it if you have the opportunity.

Arabic is not the language of the US body politic. Using Arabic in this context caters to the Islamic agenda of using the educational and cultural sphere to infiltrate the US, and gives the appearance of dhimmitude.

The Pledge of Allegiance itself is problematic in any language

As an Orthodox Christian, I regularly pray for my country and its leaders, and I scrupulously obey secular law except when it flagrantly conflicts with my faith, but my allegiance is to God. I venerate and obey persons other than God but my allegiance is to God. This is the groundwork of our Judaeo-Christian heritage.

Few people are aware that the Pledge of Allegiance originated with a defrocked Baptist minister whose intensely radical socialist agenda conflicted radically with those of our Founders.

It is time to replace the Pledge of Allegiance with a pledge to uphold the US Constitution.
