This says it all – what they really think of Obama and the Clintons! Is this the “Change” Obama talked about?
These floats were part of the annual Carnival Parade in Germany watched by an estimated 3 million people in 3 German cities including Dusseldorf. With our controlled press, it is interesting to see that German citizens seem to know more about the U.S. political system and environment than the majority of citizens on the streets of America.

Most of the germans i met in my life were humorous & so are this pix , certainly there seems to be lot of knowing of U.S political system by german citizens only.
It appears the Germans have more free of expression than Americans.
If a parade like this was conducted, make that attempted, in America it would probably be attacked and destroyed as soon as it appeared on the streets.
There is a horrid, “We must not offend anyone” attitude that now censors most of what people are allowed to say or depict. I swear, America is now more like Soviet Communist Russia then the America of the 1960’s.
Is this the “Restore honor and dignity to the White House that Bush talked about?

This post is bogus. At this carnival, there were also floats depicting George W Bush, and George H.W. Bush as well – the germans seem to lampoon american presidents in equal numbers – democrat and republican.
Just another example of distorting the truth to make a point – aka LYING !!!
@Michael Frueh,
We said nothing that was untrue, nor did we distort anything in our article. We are under NO obligation to present photos of every carnival float in every year that happens to depict US politicians. We picked the ones that are particularly funny and are fairly current. If you want to post old photos of the GWB and GHWB caricature floats, post them on your own blog. If you stop being so rude and insulting, and if I happen to feel like it, I may link to them.
I noticed that your IP address belongs to an Internet provider in the Washington DC metro area, otherwise known as Mordor on the Potomac. Small wonder that you’re so eager to defend the Democrats. In the 2008 elections, there were plenty of paid Internet trolls helping Obama’s cause. Undoubtedly, many of them are still around, paid out of Obama’s campaign budget. I don’t know whether you are trolling a conservative/counterjihad website because somebody is paying you directly, or because you figure that your livelihood depends on keeping the Dems in office, or because you’re so thoroughly indoctrinated by peer pressure that you just don’t know any better. Or maybe you’re not the sharpest tool in the shed.
@Michael Frueh
It looks like you either don’t know the meaning of the words “distorting” and “lying” or you just think that you and your far-left-wing friends should have a corner on the market.
Obama and the Clintons are in the public eye right NOW! Obama and his Cabinet, which includes Hillary Clinton, are running for re-election. Her husband, Bill (a/k/a America’s greatest liar) is leading the charge for the re-election campaign.
Bush I and Bush the second are for the most part retired and not saying much. So, not too many people are interested in the floats that the Krauts might have about them, it is ancient history. Maybe you would like us to find a Hitler-era float for the Nazis mocking Roosevelt? Too bad they didn’t have cameras back in Caesar’s time; we could have found some nice floats of Roman leaders parading about in that area.
If we find a funny one of Romney, we might put it up. Who knows, maybe next year, Romney could be the main character in the parade.
Meanwhile, if you want “fair and balanced”, why not check in with Fox News, they are constantly bombarding the airwaves with a herd of leftists, which Fox feels the need to give “equal time” or perhaps I should say, it is not really equal time, but far too much time.
As a German I can only say that Germans made always fun about American politics. It’s the same old same old. They cry for help to the Americans when they need it but otherwise all they can do is complain. And as I said, I am German so I know personally that this is true. As far as political correctness, oh it exists there too. It is surprising though that you do see floats depicting Islam for what it truly is. There might be another reason for it. The Muslim population in Germany is largely Turkish. Just read a report again that many Turks are secular and they do not want to see an Islamic takeover of Turkey back to the former Ottoman Empire. That is part of the protests that go on in Ankara at present. Turks can be a quite friendly people and they do not associate themselves necessarily with the Arab form of Islam. However some of the same things happen there as they do in other Islamic countries. Though they are usually related to certain pockets within the population that are otherwise not strict Islamic. Actually, there was a Turk at the local gas station in my neighborhood, everyone loved him for his service. The gas station company Aral were however not inclined to have him take over after the original owner had to retire because of leukemia. The one they did put in charge did not do as good of a job as the Turkish guy whose name was Petrus. It hasn’t been the same ever since.
