The Nice Matters Award
Recently, Velvet Hammer nominated me for the Nice Matters Award. I certainly was surprised; I have not been in the habit of seeing myself in that way.
As Velvet Hammer explains: “The award button is girly, so all nominations are of the female variety.” You might not have been aware that 1389 is a woman. I have not called attention to that fact, or anything else about myself, simply because this blog is not about me.
The Nice Matters Award comes with the privilege of nominating seven others for the award, and of displaying the little sidebar-sized button on one’s own blog. Here are my nominees, in no particular order:
- Jenn Sierra, of Fort Hard Knox, Jenn Sierra: Promoting the Christian Heritage of the United States, and, of course, this blog
- Julia Gorin, of Republican Riot
- Cassandra, of The Lighthouse and Phanari
- Svetlana Novko, of Byzantine Sacred Art Club
- Lady Predator, of ladypredator.com and Exposing ‘Rev.’ Sutter
- Dayngr, of Dayngrous Discourse
- Fausta, of Fausta’s Blog
Now It’s Your Turn to Do a Good Deed
Dayngr asks you to click on eMailOurMilitary.com to send e-mail to someone far from home in the US Military.

Hi 1389, thanks for the nomination! I’ll check it out ASAP. While we are at it, are you aware your feed subscription button is still pointing at a part of your Southern anatomy?:
