URGENT! Call for Action, Now…Call your Senators and ask them to Stop the “DREAM” Act

(updated:)

Word is out of a quickie move to add a DREAM amendment to a labor bill on the Senate floor either today or tomorrow. Read this now and ACT.

DON’T LET THEM SNEAK THIS THROUGH! RESIST ALL ATTEMPTS TO GRANT AMNESTY TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!

From FAIR:

…The DREAM Act grants amnesty to illegal aliens who entered the U.S. before the age of 16 and have met certain educational requirements. Those who are granted amnesty under the bill may later on Petition the Department of Homeland Security to grant their parents legal status. And if past versions are an indicator, the amendment will have no caps on the numbers, no age limit on applicants, will allow “conditional legal permanent resident status” to be extended indefinitely, and will provide for retroactive benefits. We can also expect the amendment to authorize in-state tuition to illegal aliens and make illegal aliens who receive conditional LPR status eligible for federal financial aid.

After you have called your own Senators, please call Senate Democratic and Republican leadership:

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) – (202)224-2158

Majority Whip Richard Durbin (D-IL) – (202)224-9447

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) – (202)224-3135

Minority Whip Trent Lott (R-MS) – (202)224-2708

The Chopping Block (Your neck is on it!)

In an unprecedented open letter signed by 138 leading Muslim scholars from every sect of Islam, the Muslims plead with Christian leaders “to come together with us on the common essentials of our two religions.”

A very diplomatic wording of a verse from the Koran. [4.89] They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah’s way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper. (Basically the Koran is saying convert non-believers to Islam or kill them). [5.51] O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

This is an interesting encapsulated article on the Koran and non-believers. To fully understand the Koran, which by its own words was written to confuse non-believers, you must understand “abrogated verses”. An explanation of them is here. There are several searchable copies of the Koran on line. Read them and you will see Islam is anything but a religion of peace.

For every small victory by the ACLU, Muslims rejoice. For every inroad they make into forcing their “religion” on others, Muslims rejoice. For every time they lie to a non-believer to deceive them so the non-believer will sin some more, Muslims rejoice. Right now they are rejoicing daily because of liberal press, socialists and others out to destroy America. Know your enemy! Right now we are simply fighting fanatics and extremists, but soon this will be a religious war. They want that. Their holy book wants that. Their leaders want that. Choose your side well and quickly!

Internet to Become a Toll Road

…Because of lack of Concern and Inaction by Congress.

Toll plaza on Florida Turnpike

State and local government officials have been eyeing such tax possibilities for years. There’s an endless list of ways officials can tax the Internet including the taxing of email, downloads and a whole host of other transactions, services and emerging tools yet to come.”

“You can join the fight to help defend the Internet from duplicative, discriminatory and duplicative taxes. Click here to take action with the Don’t Tax Our Web coalition, or you can do nothing and get taxed when you click after November 1, 2007.”

  • CNET discusses the issue HERE.
  • William F. Shughart II of the Christian Science Monitor discusses HERE.
  • The Inquirer even picked up the battle cry HERE.

It is time for all levels of government to quit viewing the public as an open wallet. If you agree, contact all your Representatives and get them to make the moratorium permanent. Countries in Europe pay less for Internet, have faster Internet, have better cell phones and a better wireless network than the US. Any attempt to tax the Internet will once again put the USA on a tier below the rest of the world. We invented it and the rest of the world takes advantage of it, but our government thinks we should bear the burden of the cost and finance their pet pork projects.

This is yet another attempt to limit your access to a free exchange of ideas and open information.
