The 11th European Police Congress, to be held in Berlin on 29-30th January is the target of a Balkan Al Qaeda franchise.
The convention will be inaugurated by Franco Frattini, Vice President of the European Commission, Commissioner for Justice, Freedom and Security. The second item on the agenda is “Global, European and National threats by Terrorists: National Concepts to face the Challenge.”
In a programme note (bottom Programme section) it is advised that one of the speakers, Dr Darko Trifunovic - a maverick young investigator from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Security Studies - will not be able to attend due to “pressure and death threats” made against him by radical groups that are under his investigation. He has decided not to “expose himself and the congress to further danger.”
Dr Darko Trifunovic has been conducting research into the origins, ambitions and operating methods of what he calls “white Al Qaeda”, the home grown branch of the terrorist franchise organization in the various areas of the Balkans.
It first took foothold in Bosnia-Herzegovina after the Western powers in the 90’s saw the influx of Afghan war veterans into the territory as an easy way to support the Bosnian Muslims. Since the Dayton Peace Accord Iranians as well as Saudi Wahhabis have flooded the statelet with funds, over-sized mosques and subversive organizations, one of which has members throughout the Bosniak diaspora in Europe, Canada and the US. One such is CNAB, the center of gravity of the present threats against Trifunovic.
Trifunovic has also found new links between Bosnia and the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the London and Madrid train bombings. Specifically mentioned are Mohammed Atta, who coordinated the 9/11 outrage, and Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, Bosnian citizenship holder and war veteran, former Al Qaeda ‘Operations Chief’, who - according to Dr Darko Trifunovic - took over the leadership of the Al Qaeda media campaign (’the Committee’) during the planning of the 9/11. Atta’s place of residence was a Bosnian hamlet before launching off to Hamburg and the US for his fatal mission.
With the knowledge of the UN interim governors in Kosovo, Albanian-American radicals were actively recruiting terrorists for ‘the war against America’ prior to the 9/11 attack, of which they had foreknowledge. The UN however, did nothing.
The Foreign Area Officer Association FAOA posits that the Sarajevo based organization, AIO’s (Aktivna Islamska Omladina)[1] “(…) Islamic weekly magazine SAFF [2] and organization’s website have been fronts of radical Islamic preaching, gaining notoriety for publishing interviews with terrorists who have fought against US forces in Iraq and expressing solidarity with the jihadists and suicide bombers in Israel.” FAOA also links the AIO with members throughout the Bosniak diaspora in Europe and the US, one of which is the CNAB, now the center of gravity, threatening Trifunovic.
CNAB claims to represent some 350.000 Bosniak refugees in the US and Canada. Trifunovic qualifies them as a new jihadi organization. He specifies four members in particular, who are one way or another involved in Islamist activities. In Terror Finance Blog in “Bosnjaci.net Attacks on Darko Trifunovic” Trifunovic specifies as follows:
“Here is why Bosnjaci.net, an Islamist web site from Bosnia is attacking me.
One of Bosnjaci.net’s favorite and honored members is Sakib Mahmuljin, who is a high-ranking Bosnian White Al Qaeda member, accused of war crimes. See this: “War crimes: “Vozuca case”, six years later”.
Izet Nanic is a former commander of the 505th Buzim Brigade with the Fifth Corps of the Bosnian Army which was an integral part was the “Hamze” unit. See here and here.
Another prominent individual on Bosnjaci.net is Nezim Halilovic-Muderis. He is imam at the Wal-Mart-sized, Wahhabi King Fahd mosque, which opened in 2000 on the outskirts of Sarajevo, built with Saudi money and named after the Saudi monarch. Nezim Halilovic-Muderis, a Bosnian extremist agitator whose antics I have been following since 1999. Muderis’s Friday sermons, available on Bosnian websites, are replete with incitement to violence in Israel, Kashmir, Chechnya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and the Philippines. He preaches the same line on the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq, as is heard among the acolytes of the late terrorist leader of ‘Al Qaeda in Iraq’, Abu Musab al Zarqawi.
It is, to say the least, bizarre: “In Falluja, according to statements from the U.S. command, spirits have appeared in the form of enormous spiders, weighing about a kilogram, that only attack U.S. soldiers, and the person who is bitten dies within seconds.” More information about this prominent Wahhabist is here.
Another Bosnian Muslim war criminal, protected and promoted by Bosnjaci.net is Rasim Delic. According to the indictment, Rasim Delic was aware that the jihadi members of the 
Bosnian army had a distinct tendency to commit crimes, especially against captured enemy combatants and civilians (…) Reportedly, however, he took no measures whatsoever to stop these acts taking place.
In an email Trifunovic has it that the web master of Bosnjaci.net, Afan Pasalic even openly confessed that he uses Trifunovic’ name to manipulate and and false emails and post comments in his name. Trifunovic qualifies the impersonation quite accurately as “shocking!!!!”
A brief insight into some of the more flowery death threats against Trifunovic, posted at Bosnjaci.net:
“Help us God to erase Trifunovic and entire his family from Earth - We must teach our kids from age of 5 how to use pistols and guns, and that they hold in one hand (knjiga) Ku’ran and in another hand a gun ready for use - If Darko Trifunovci goes to the 11th Police Congress in Berlin, God help that all Muslims finish him - Such individuals as Darko Trifunovic, we need to harass him, and we need to continue to discredit him by all means and to very end, until others dare not show up to talk about terrorism”
The manicheic character of the site is illustrated by the shocking death threats in one section, while another is reserved for “Dobri Bosnjaci” (good Bosniaks). The latter consists of a list of special members of the portal: dangerous Islamic fundamentalists and war criminals. Trifunovic: “We are dealing with pure criminals (…) I am planning to inform all EU, US and other relevant authorities regarding this unfortunate incident in order to prevent such thing from happening again in the future.” I don’t share his optimism.
Earlier this week a colleague of Trifunovic, analyst Ioannis Michaletos, released this media message on his behalf.
Up to now Dr Trifunovic has been able to conduct his investigations from the ivory tower of the University of Belgrade in relative tranquility. When it transpired however he was invited to speak during the upcoming 11th Police Congress and - as a consequence, the results of his research would reach the professional domain - no methods have been shunned to intimidate him, discredit him as a person and as a scholar.
With false accusations of ‘Srebrenica denial’ and ‘hate mongering’ - references to laws prohibiting Holocaust denial and inciting racial hatred - attempts have been made to get him banned from the police convention; impersonations and cyber manipulation being but the least methods of choice to muzzle. But it is my understanding that, far from denying the deplorable events at Srebrenica, Trifunovic has been further investigating the matter.
Apart from the personal injury done here, the public damage of this terrorist saga is two-fold: researchers are being harassed to prevent them from doing their jobs, thus interfering with the right of enquiry. The consequences of such actions on the academic level could well be considerable. The second part is even worse: the intimidation of officials conducting criminal enquiries, subverting the rule of law, leading ultimately to mob rule.
Let me wrap this up with some thoughts of my own. In the past few decades one of the greater mysteries has been the question, how the Holocaust on six million Jews at the hands of the Nazis could have taken place without the entire continent raising up in protest. At present, a sizable majority of people in the West surprisingly seem to be sharing views with the people who have declared against us. However treacherous and hard to fathom this may be, it is kinder on the persons harbouring such views: it is after all easier to be a voluntary accomplice - silent or otherwise - than it is to be a coward.

Update 1/15/08:
As of January 13, the website bosnjaci.net, which is said to be an al Qaeda support forum, is no longer functioning. In place of the normal display is a message saying that the site is closed, and that the hacker attack took place because Darko Trifunovic had to cancel his appearance at the Euro police convention.
We will continue to follow this story, which is proving to be very interesting indeed.

Denmark: Defending Free Speech in the Mainstream Media
Yes, it can be done; this article shows how!
It has been said from time to time that Islam-critics are kept out by a ‘Media Wall’, barring certain viewpoints from the Mainstream Media.
My experience doesn’t substantiate this. Over the last 2½ years, I had something in the league of 150 letters printed in the largest mainstream newspapers. My ‘hit rate’ varies wildly, but has at times been hovering at 60-70 %, well above the average of around 30 % in Danish papers.
“But that’s Denmark, and you guys are special.”
Might be. But a dozen of those letters were printed in International Herald Tribune, which is hardly a Danish special case.
The take-home lesson is encouraging:

Media Disinformation
Flooding both the blogosphere and traditional media with disinformation is a de facto method of censorship, because it crowds out any attempt to get true information in front of the public. Those using search engines will see the baloney at the top of the list, and most people won’t bother to dig down to find the real information. This technique is well known to black-hat search engine optimization (SEO) and “reputation management” purveyors.

Doesn’t matter! If you’ve visited Phoenix New Times Online, your browsing history has been swept up into a nasty local investigation that has nothing whatsoever to do with you. Everything in the server logs pertaining to your visit is up for grabs.
If, that is, you’ve ever read the Phoenix New Times online. The alternative weekly has run several articles over the years critical of the so-called “toughest sheriff in America.” But when an investigative piece on a series of questionable Arpaio real estate transactions included the sheriff’s home address (possibly violating state law), Arpaio launched an incredibly broad, wide-reaching investigation that looks an awfully lot like retaliation.
Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin, the executive editor and CEO, respectively, of Village Voice Media, were arrested at their homes on suspicion of violating grand jury secrecy, said sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Paul Chagolla.
Both were released from custody early this morning. Lacey posted a $500 bond, according to New Times.
The two, who together started New Times in 1970, were the authors of Thursday’s cover story revealing that a special prosecutor, retained by the county attorney’s office, had issued subpoenas to them and other staffers in a criminal case against the paper. The case stems from the paper publishing Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s home address more than three years ago.

Especially disturbing, Lacey and Larkin wrote, is that one subpoena asks for online profiles of anyone who read four specific articles about Arpaio and profiles of anyone who visited the paper’s Web site since Jan. 1, 2004. The county officials also want to track what Web users did while on the site, the story says.
Michael Lacey, the executive editor, and Jim Larkin, chief executive, were arrested at their homes after they wrote a story that revealed that the Village Voice Media company, its executives, its reporters and even the names of the readers of its website had been subpoenaed by a special prosecutor. The special prosecutor had been appointed to look into allegations that the newspaper had violated the law in publishing the home address of Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s home address on its website more than three years ago.
The weekly and its leadership has been in a long running battle with Mr. Arpaio, after the weekly published a series of stories about his real estate dealings.
How did Arpaio become entrenched in power?
He’s no hero!
Too many conservatives admire Arpaio from afar, thinking he has the answer to problems of crime and social disorder.
It’s true that there are some very real problems in Maricopa County, especially in regard to illegal immigrants, and some people are content with the fact that Arpaio seems to be addressing those problems and are unwilling to look any further.
Nonetheless, riding roughshod over due process of law, common decency, and everyone’s privacy is never the way to go. Think about it: If you enter Arpaio’s jurisdiction and you get picked up for something you didn’t do, especially if you are physically fragile, you’re out of luck. Don’t think it can’t happen to you!
To top it off, Arpaio has such an effective PR campaign going that you’ll be unlikely to get anybody’s sympathy or help. He has played on public anger at rampant crime to make a seeming virtue of his smug, self-righteous, and cruel behavior. Even so, these tyrannies don’t last forever. When the bovine effluent from Arpaio’s reign of terror finally reaches the rotary ventilation enhancement device, Maricopa County will become known as an object of derision and a place to avoid.

I hope the folks who always moan about the federal government is always evil and federalism is always da bomb read this. Local government can be very tyrannical, and often it’ only the feds who can set these kind of tin-badge tyrants straight.

You are correct in pointing out that state and local authorities can become tinpot tyrants too. However, I take issue with your assertion that the feds can set them straight. That doesn’t seem to be happening! It’s the job of the local citizenry to do that! In other words, it all comes down to YOU!

Maricopa County inmates have won a settlement with Sheriff Joe Arpaio over his live Internet broadcasts that showed prisoners being booked, photographed and, in some cases, using a toilet at the county jail.
The Sheriff’s Office agreed Monday to pay the legal fees for the inmates, plus $500 in damages to each of the 11 who remain in the case that was filed five years ago in U.S. District Court. Arpaio also agreed to accept the court order blocking the so-called jailcam.

Donna Hamm, executive director at Middle Ground, said the inmates all were pre-trial detainees, presumed not guilty under the law, subjected to public humiliation, with women prisoners shown partly undressed as they used a toilet.

Those who are granted amnesty under the bill may later on Petition the Department of Homeland Security to grant their parents legal status. And if past versions are an indicator, the amendment will have no caps on the numbers, no age limit on applicants, will allow “conditional legal permanent resident status” to be extended indefinitely, and will provide for retroactive benefits. We can also expect the amendment to authorize in-state tuition to illegal aliens and make illegal aliens who receive conditional LPR status eligible for federal financial aid.

It is time to end the irredeemably corrupt H-1b visa program once and for all. There is NO shortage of American IT and engineering workers who are qualified and are ready, willing, and able to do good work!
The H-1b program supposedly has restrictions to prevent the displacement of American workers, but those restrictions are flouted across the board. Vast numbers of foreign workers, often with limited English-language communication skills, are being imported to the U.S. to work at lower wages and to displace older and more qualified American professionals. These foreign workers are de facto indentured servants.
The upshot is that it has become all but impossible for qualified, hard-working, reputable, and experienced U.S. citizens to find any permanent employment in the IT and engineering fields. Established professionals who once held what seemed to be secure jobs are now traveling around the country to do contract work for a few months at a time. They seldom, if ever, are offered regular, full-time employment with benefits.
Consequences for homeland security - and our future
We are outsourcing the expertise that we need to defend our country. Do we really want key portions of the US technical and communications infrastructure to be in the hands of foreigners whose loyalties are elsewhere? (See Engineer indicted on spying for China.
No wonder American college students are no longer interested in studying these subjects - the jobs simply don’t exist!

What kind of people would smile for a mugshot?
Ahmed Mohammed and Yousef Megahed, that’s who. The two University of South Florida students who were caught with explosives in Goose Creek, SC, have finally been indicted for terrorism in Tampa.
Homeland security is up to the citizenry and the county sheriffs, not the DHS!
The SC Pipe Bomb Boys had been caught by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s department during a routine traffic stop. Despite the fact that Goose Creek is near the closely-guarded Naval Weapons Station Charleston, where nuclear weapons are handled and where enemy combatants have been held, the FBI had denied that Megahed and Mohamed were terrorists. The pair were held on local charges in a South Carolina jail while the FBI took its time to decide whether there was a terrorism link.
The establishment of the much-touted Department of Homeland Security has accomplished nothing more than to add another needless layer of bureaucracy over the FBI, the ICE, the Border Patrol, and who knows how many other federal bureaucracies that are still not getting the job done. It seems as though they don’t have any idea what their job is.
After 9/11, we have a right to expect that thorough background checks would be run on every foreigner applying for a student visa, and that there would be some monitoring of the whereabouts and activities of foreign students already in the U.S.

According to officials familiar with the case, Mohamed has been arrested previously in Egypt on terrorism-related charges. He is said to have produced an Internet video showing how to build a remote-controlled car bomb.
If that’s so, our government was careless enough to allow a known terrorist and e-jihadist into the US. Wow.

The latest major U.N. scandal is a real doozy, and it’s coming out at a very inconvenient time for George W. and the U.S. State Department:
BND: White Slaves and Millions of Heroin Dollars for Ahtisaari’s Plan
According to the June 21 article by the Banja Luka daily Fokus, titled “Albanian Mafia Bought Ahtisaari,” German Federal Intelligence Service BND (Bundesnachrichtendienst) has recently sent a report to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon revealing that Albanian separatists and terrorists in Serbian Kosovo-Metohija province have literally purchased Ahtisaari’s plan which suggests independence for the Serbian province and its severing from Serbia.
German Secret Service has found that 2 million Euros (2.68 million USD) have been transfered directly to Ahtisaari’s personal bank account, and that amounts of multi-million Euros were given to the UN envoy in cash on at least two occasions, totaling up to 40 million Euros (over 53 million U.S. dollars).
Oh, and by the way, KFOR NATO troops are involved:
On the last day of February, at 11:47 p.m., German Secret Service agents made a note about the arrival of the KFOR (NATO troops stationed in Serbian Kosovo province, Kosovo FORce) jeep which brought two young women over, followed by Boria’s bodyguard. The girls were in Ahtisaari’s quarters until 5:17 a.m., when they were driven away by the same vehicle.
This is particularly awkward now, because GWB has been making a big push to turn over control of Kosovo to Albanian Muslim narcoterrorists, which is not only insane, but also violates the treaty that the U.S. signed at the end of the Kosovo War. The only thing that can be said for GWB in this regard is that his Democrat opponents would have tried to do the same thing even sooner.
Okay, so I’m old. This huge UN Albanian-narcoterrorist bribery scandal reminded me of a long trail of other scandals: Libyagate (starring Billy Carter), Abscam, Iran arms-for-hostages, BCCI, UN oil-for-food, and now, Bill and Hillary cashing in from Qatar, and the Bush family’s close ties to the Bin Ladin Group. (Yes, THAT Bin Ladin Group; they’ve altered the English-language spelling, but yes, they are OBL’s relatives!) To put icing on the cake, there’s Venezuela, with Chavez’ ominously cozy relationship with Ahmadinejad, Iran’s nuclear neo-Nazi.
So what made me think of all these other scandals? What common thread has linked every major scandal of the western world in the late 20th and early 21st centuries?
They’re are all about foreign money from Muslim sources being used to corrupt politicians and bureaucrats in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and the UN. It’s as simple as that.
In the U.S., this money has bought politicians wholesale on both sides of the aisle. The corruption is so pervasive that it’s not even about partisan politics; it’s about the blindly selfish, and in fact treasonous, pursuit of power and wealth. The funding is not only coming from Muslim petrodollars, but also from Albanian crime syndicate money (from drug-running, arms-smuggling, slave-trading, and wholesale looting), Taliban opium money, diverted foreign aid, you name it.
What to do? Many people won’t want to hear the answer, but that isn’t my problem. I calls ‘em as I sees ‘em, and I don’t care whether anybody likes it or not.
We can’t afford to keep doing business with our enemies. Our enemies include every Islamist and every jihadist-sympathizer on the planet, and every government that openly or covertly promotes jihadism. Yes, that adds up to an awful lot of people. Our foes have already chosen that path. Our failure to acknowledge it will not make them go away. They see it as a war of extermination against us, and we have no choice but to defeat them.
What does “not doing business with the enemy” mean in practice?
This means we have to bite the bullet and achieve complete energy independence as soon as possible, and by every means available.
This means building clean-coal and nuclear power plants, wind farms, synfuel facilities, you name it. We need to stop putting roadblocks in the way of everyone who is trying to help achieve energy independence. For example, when a reputable electric power company wants to build a new clean-coal plant or a nuke plant, making use of resources that the U.S. has in abundance, the authorities should let them proceed as soon as a good plan is in place. And we should go ahead and drill for oil in uninhabitable wilderness regions.
This means we must finally debunk all of this propaganda that blames us - and our desire to maintain a standard of living compatible with civilized life - for “global warming.” Is Mars also warming up because we’ve been driving too many SUVs on the red planet? Claiming that there is a “scientific consensus” on behalf of one’s political agenda does not mean that there actually is one! The people who started up this propaganda evidently hate people in general, and modern civilization in particular. More to the point, their political manipulations play into the hands of our foreign enemies. The only way to deal with them is to refute them once and for all, and then never listen to any of them ever again.
This means we stop making alliances with, and stop giving aid to, any Muslim nation, entity, or faction. It means we never again use U.S. military power to fight a war on behalf of Muslims under any circumstances whatsoever - no matter how much they flood the airwaves with fauxtography and stage elaborate hoaxes to play themselves up as the victims of whomever they want the U.S. to punish - and no matter how much they are paying our politicians under the table.
This means that we must stop educating and hiring aliens, including de facto enemy aliens, in preference to our own citizens. That would be an inexcusable outrage during peacetime, and it’s criminally insane when we are at war. It’s time to stop bringing in any foreign nationals from predominantly Muslim countries or regions, particularly in the fields of engineering and IT. It’s time to drastically scale back the student visa program, and to eliminate the thoroughly corrupt H-1b program entirely. We’ve been shutting out loyal, qualified, experienced, and hard-working Americans from jobs, and turning over large portions of America’s technical infrastructure to foreign nationals whose loyalty is clearly elsewhere.
None of these things are impossible, or even all that difficult, to do. It’s all a matter of growing up, facing facts, and seeing the world and its inhabitants as they are, not as we wish they would be. If we refuse to face facts, that will not stop the facts from facing us.

Since publication of the Focus report and this opinon based on that report, new information suggests that the intelligence report the Bosnian Serb news agency Focus claims was filed at the UN apparently was never received by the UN.
Since the alleged report is the only piece of evidence provided in support of the claims by Focus, the claims in the Focus story - and the opinion below based on that, may be false. Please check back later for an update.

I remain convinced that there is an extremely high probability that this story is true. To begin with, the story comports with everything that has been going on in Kosovo since 1999. Moreover, the UN has an interest in attempting to bury an embarrassing story by having some unnamed individual claim that the UN never received such a document.
To the best of my knowledge, there have been no denials of culpability or involvement on the part of Ahtisaari, the Albanians, or anyone else. Nor has there been any official denial issued by any named individual or department at the UN.
I must point out that the failure to deny wrongdoing is tantamount to an admission of culpability. As someone who has neither accepted nor offered bribes, if some newspaper had accused me of such a thing, not only would I have denied it loudly and without delay, but I would have immediately contacted an attorney to talk about filing a suit for defamation.
