UPDATE: November 15, 2014:

We have uploaded a new version of the Thesis theme designed to work with WordPress 4.0.

Comments and pingbacks are once again visible.

Technical issues: No comments are visible on 1389 Blog at this time

Nobody’s comments, whether old or new, are showing up on 1389 Blog.

We did not turn off commenting.

Behind the scenes, we can read all of the comments in the blog database. We can (and do) approve comments, but they can’t be viewed on the blog at this time.

Something in a recent WordPress update might be at fault. Either WordPress.org or the Thesis DIYThemes people (a blog formatting package we purchased awhile back) will need to fix the problem.

If it isn’t fixed eventually we’ll call or email somebody and complain.

As it is, we don’t have the time or energy, or the specialized expertise, to debug the system without an awful lot of effort on our part. As we mentioned before, the blog admins can no longer devote the level of time and energy to the blog that we previously did.

Thanks to Gramfan for letting us know about this problem.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
