As late as the 1960s, many States required a simple literacy test to see if people had any idea for whom they might be voting. However, liberals were outraged. They played their beloved “race card” and the whole US caved in to their silly demands.
Voter illiteracy cuts
across racial lines
If airline pilots were elected to their jobs, would you be willing to let any uninformed moron who knows nothing about aviation vote? If your mother, father, child or beloved spouse need surgery, would you let a bunch of uninformed idiots elect the surgeon? Would you put your life’s savings into a company where the shareholders and drunken bums off the street with no interest in the company whatsoever have equal votes?
If answered “no” to any of the above questions, how can you possible justify letting anyone who just happens to be 18 or older to vote, whether or not the voter has the slightest clue what he or she is doing?
Check out this video of interviews with everyday Obama voters. After hearing what they had to say, maybe you will understand the reasons why US voters faced literacy tests well into the 20th century.
