March 10, 2012 – This is a special appeal to fellow patriots, a call to you to help a great American and fierce conservative blogger who has hit some rough spots on life’s highway. She goes by the name of Mare Zilla, and her from-the-heart blog is the highly respected “Zilla of the Resistance.” Mare is dealing with health issues, including Lyme Disease, and that has led to serious financial strain.
I am honored to be part of a group of 50 conservative bloggers who have come together to bring attention to Zilla’s plight. We ask you to consider a donation, whatever you are comfortable with, by visiting her blog and reading about the ordeal she is going through. You’ll see this “Zilla-Aid-Athon” widget (right) for “Zilla-Aid-Athon” on about 50 blogs, including Chicago News Bench, beginning tonight. Please click on it to read about Zilla’s situation in a post titled “Resister Updates: Pain.” While you’re there, PLEASE click on the PayPal donate button in her right sidebar. A lot of small donations will help make a big difference for a beloved conservative warrior. Zilla has been a real fighter for liberty and fairness, and we need to support bloggers like her.
Here is an excerpt from Zilla’s “Resister Updates: Pain”:
This is an update for everyone who has been following my health issues. I apologize in advance if this turns out to be a confusing mess, but the nightmare I am living is complicated, hard to explain, and I am trying to do this through excruciating pain which makes it hard to focus – but I want those of you who are interested to know what’s been going on with me, and I hope that if there someone is suffering something similar, that they may find something helpful in this post and maybe realize that they are not alone. Past posts with information about my medical issues in reverse chronological order: HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE …
