Statement: Occupy Wall Street Protesters
The Occupy Wall Street protesters are an example of where our society is headed. They are people who are expecting a handout, wanting someone else to pay their way, and who are not willing themselves to take responsibility. This is a very dangerous movement. If it continues to grow, then it will become violent with its anti-Semitic, destructive slogans, such as ‘Eat the Rich’, that they have adopted. They are attacking the rich and the industries. They are not aware of the fact that the United States has the highest corporate taxes in the world.
The rich, the industries, and the companies of our nation are not the problem. Just the opposite, they are the solution. They are the people who are innovative, who are starting businesses, taking chances, taking risks. As those businesses continue to grow and prosper, then they are able to hire and employ people who will receive salaries, raise their families, educate their kids, causing our society to continue on as we are used to.
Again, the Occupy Wall Street protesters are not a benefit to our society. They are a great danger, a great threat, to the well-being of our society and lifestyle.
